Probably one of the best B&Bs in the country. Location is great. Beer is fantastic quality. Pauline (landlady/owner) is so friendly welcoming and chatty and the (tick the box on what you want) breakfasts are amazing. Rooms are great. Room 7 is my favourite. Locals make you feel welcome. 100% recommend - what else could you ask for.

What super place this is, lovely cosy rooms easy to get to, but out of the way, very nice friendly people running it, most welcoming, and the puppy lab is extremely well behaved and welcoming. Good food and nice breakfast choice, scrambled eggs for me. Would definitely come back here.

Stayed overnight. Pleasant, nice food, comfortable room. On the expensive side at £92 for a double room. The room was quite noisy overnight, trains and machinery, which might disturb some people, although not a big deal for us. Staff very friendly. Nice coffee machine in the room.

Nice country pub, accommodation a little dated but comfortable. Next to a train line but not overly busy, evening meal average but reasonably priced. Good breakfast served from 06.30 which was great as I needed to be off early.

Stayed here for 2 nights for work, and would gladly stay again. Service was great, and the room was nice. Very convenient to the station, it's a 10 minute journey into Oxford for about £4 return. Getting here is a bit of a nightmare for someone that doesn't know the area. I have no idea how the road leading to it is national speed limit, when there's no space to slow down for the very sharp turn into the junction. Just worth a heads up for anyone else new to the area... ignore that speed sign!

A fantastic base for getting into Oxford/Didcot and Reading by train. Great for rail enthusiasts as very busy with freight. The inn offers accommodation with a hearty fresh cooked breakfast. Walking to Abingdon on Thames takes roughly 40 minutes depending on how fast you walk. Great area to observe Red Kites.
